Top-Down IPAM

Most appliance vendors will try to convince you to swap out your entire DHCP and DNS server infrastructure in favor of their appliance hardware. While we can attest to the benefits of an appliance deployment as we also offer a variety of appliance platforms, we certainly don’t force you to perform a forklift migration. IPControl™ from BT Diamond IP is available as software installable on your Microsoft® Windows™ Server 2003 or 2008, RedHat Enterprise Linux, Sparc Solaris or VMware-equipped hardware or as convenient, secure Sapphire appliances.

But not only is our solution flexible in terms of how you deploy it, you can also deploy it simply to manage what you’ve already deployed! So if you have pockets of native Microsoft DHCP and DNS as well as Internet Systems Consortium (ISC) DHCP or BIND DNS, there’s no need to replace these servers.  Some appliance vendors support Microsoft DHCP/DNS, though they require a separate user interface than their “appliance manager,” rendering little value-add; you’re just as well sticking with Microsoft Management Console.
