BT Diamond IP Launches Managed IP Address Management Services

Industry-first solutions offer affordable, reliable IP address management options

BT Diamond IP, a leading provider of software and appliance products that help customers effectively manage complex Internet Protocol (IP) networks, today announced availability of  managed IP address management (IPAM) services.  BT Diamond IP is the only IPAM-centric company offering managed IPAM services in the marketplace today.

The new offer provides multiple tiers of service, all backed by BT Diamond IP’s expertise and leadership in developing, deploying and managing automated IPAM solutions.  Customers may choose the level of service that precisely meets their needs.

As enterprise networks grow in size and complexity, management of the underlying IP address structure becomes more challenging and often requires additional internal resources to maintain network reliability and performance.  A professionally managed IPAM solution can reduce capital expenditures and administrative, training and support costs while freeing IT staff to focus on projects of strategic importance to the enterprise.

BT Diamond IP managed IPAM service options range from basic to full-service.

  • The basic Sapphire Infrastructure Management (SIM) option includes proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, network configuration and patch management of BT Diamond IP Sapphire appliances deployed in a customer’s network.  Customers pay one predictable monthly fee for the Sapphire infrastructure, IPControl software, support, upgrades and the SIM service itself.
  • Fully managed service encompasses all IPAM management functions.  Customers simply log their change requests via a user-friendly web portal and BT Diamond IP experts handle the rest (adding, moving or changing subnets, IP addresses, pools, resource records and more).

Multiple service levels between basic and full are available based on each customer’s specific needs. For example, customers may subscribe for block management only, IP inventory only or full IPAM with DHCP and/or DNS. Service reports are available for all tiers of service.

“In today’s challenging economic times, our managed services offer customers an alternative means of taking control of their IPAM functions,” said Mike Dooley, Vice President of BT Diamond IP Operations. “BT Diamond IP is the only IPAM provider offering a services option, enabling customers to leverage our unsurpassed flexibility and decades of IPAM experience.”

BT Diamond IP’s managed IPAM services are available today for both new and existing BT Diamond IP customers.
